On January 21, 2021, Vietnam and Israel held an online session to launch the negotiation of the Vietnam - Israel Labor Cooperation Agreement. The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant agencies from both sides such as: Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Agriculture, Immigration Administration (PIBA) and Ambassadors of the two countries.

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged technical issues to explore and clarify the policies and regulations of the two countries on labor as well as priority and concerns. The two sides agreed to actively promote to soon complete the negotiations and move forward to the signing of the Agreement as soon as 2021, in order to bring Vietnamese workers to work in Israel in the agricultural sector.​
